SimpleProjectToDo Makes Good Organizer for Small Project Developers

One of the crucial keys in running a successful business is getting organized. When working on a project, you probably find yourself scrawling things to do on countless sticky notes that you then pin on the computer monitor, stuff in books and hide in drawers and then wonder where that note is when you need it. Igor Jese was the one of us who just got tired of all sticky notes and came up with SimpleProjectToDo.

Zagreb, Croatia (PRWEB) September 17, 2007 -– SimpleProjectToDo.com today announces the immediate availability of SimpleProjectToDo 1.26, the newest version of its tool for keeping track of a small project. The software is aimed at individuals and small project teams.

One major advantage of SimpleProjectToDo is its simplicity. There are lots of project management tools out there that offer many hi-tech features, services along with an impressive price tag to match. SimpleProjectToDo was written by someone who’s tried most of these tools when he worked on his own projects and wants to spare you from paying too much and then messing around the software complexities and user guides.

What you see on the screen when you launch SimpleProjectToDo is a tabbed window listing the tasks to do along with the summary and notes for the currently chosen task. The tasks are organized by priority into the tabs: Now, Later, Much Later. Clicking on any of these tabs opens the window that displays its tasks. For example, clicking on the Now tab lets you see the tasks that you need to take action on now, another click on the Later tab shows those that can be done soon and finally the Much Later tab tells you about the tasks that can be completed much later. With one glance, you can see an immediate overview of what is to be done and when. It’ll help you to focus on the big picture, rather than get bogged in details.

To add a new task, click on the Add Task button, set its priority (Now, Later, Much Later), category (Problem, Improvement, Other), and choose the status that can be Open or Closed. If you have some ideas or technical details relevant to the task, you can add them too. Some important tasks can be highlighted to make them look more prominent among the others. That’s pretty much you need to do. Now the task is displayed in its assigned tab.

When the list of tasks grows big, you can still find the task you need easily by using the search box above. Type in the keyword and the program will return the results in no time. You can also narrow your search for the tasks by enabling only those filters you are interested in. For example, you can enable Open tasks but disable those marked as Closed.

For those occasions when you need to view or show the tasks list to someone else, you can print the tasks on paper. It’s as simple as clicking on the Print button on the toolbar.

One other nice touch is a multi-user support, making it easy to collaborate within a team. When your team mates make changes to the tasks on another computer, the files can be merged together. Changed tasks are marked in red and the new tasks in blue.

If you run any kind of business that needs to keep its people on the same track and deliver projects on time, you may find that SimpleProjectToDo offers the best way to save the day.
